Do Ink Justice

Write It Out of your soul

1 note

Silence Cuts Deep

I never knew what you meant to me

Until you walked away

But I assure you

I must have loved you more than I thought possible

By the way you occupy my daily life

Without even being in it

I can relate every moment

To some memory of us

It is like rubbing salt

In a wound that’s been open for ten months

I guess it’s true

That silence cuts the throat of hope

Because I am still bleeding out

All I wanted to know was if you were happy

That’s all I wanted for you

If You Knew

And if you knew my true intent

Your heart would falter, broken and bent

And if I let you see my heart

I truly believe it would tear you apart

For the pit is black and filled with sorrow

And deep inside there’s no tomorrow

This heart I have is weak with pain

And most of this damage if from my brain

It thinks of memories from my past

Of doomed relationships that I wished would last

And once again I’m left with you

A broken mirror to tell it true

A reflection to see through and through

And here I write I wish you knew

Forever In My Heart

Do you ever look up to the stars and think about what could have been?

Do you ever wonder, if we will ever meet again?

I think about these things every now and then?

And if I were to see you, I don’t know where I’d begin

But I am sure a smile would pursue

Followed with a “Hi, how are you”

But there is just so much that I would want to say

That I would give a lifetime so we could talk away

And honestly I don’t know where we would possibly end

Because darling, you were my greatest love, and dearest friend.

Don’t Judge

I wish

I wish

With all my might

That my children will grow

With a better sight

To see that people are people

No matter the height

And that there is no difference

Between black and white

They will quickly learn

That color is trite

That everyone’s soul

Reflects the same light

They will learn not to judge

For no one person is right

They shall learn this lesson

Every day and every night

River Run

The river flows

Through the minds of unknowns

To cleanse the memories

Of a broken home

It washes the pain from the walls

Of the stained empty halls

Imprinted with smudges

From family grudges

We judged enough not to budge this

So we let that happen

And happened it did

We released the flood

And the tear ducts wept

Which swept through the thoughts

That never slept

And I know these thoughts

Will never be done

Until one by one

They are carried away by the river run.

I Take It Back

When you walked away

I thought it was something I did

So I held myself accountable

For the moments that we’ve been separated

I’ve told myself so many lies

In between the lost goodbyes

I told myself that it was all my fault

And to my wounds

Those words were salt

I made a noose and hung my head

With all the things I shouldn’t have said

I’ve bled for love and I’ll bleed again

But for these things I wish to mend

I hold out my hands

I know their not clean

But if I can be forgiven

I will never say things that I don’t mean

Will You Be My Supernova

As if an angel brushed

Your beauty upon the canvas of my life

I am blessed by

The radiance of your eyes

Looking through my very soul

I see so much hope

In the curvature of your smile

So much pain

In the purse of your lips

And I want to hold it

Hold you

I want to feel your emotions

Surging through my warming chest

And when our eyes finally lock

Not even the galaxy has seen such stars

Burst with affection

To My Serenity

I had a dream about your smile again

And that you were right beside me

I held on to those images

Until consciousness forced my eyes open

Only to find your side of the bed cold and empty

It feels like its been forever

Since you’ve passed away

And I miss you even more now

Than any of the past days

I cried that day when somebody broke the news

And I cried all night

When I knew I would never see those baby blues

I will never forget the day I first saw your gorgeous smile

It was the beacon that led to my serenity

I still hold on to hope

That the light will show me the way

so I can hold you close to my heart

And let our souls take us away

Happy Accident

Dear Durex:

I apologize for such a late response. Twenty one years and nine months ago on this day my parents rightfully confided in your brand.  To their dismay, they soon realized that cheaper is usually never better, for your company has over time had a net cost of nearly $188,678.69 give or take. I would like to reassure you that this is not a letter of pointing fingers. I would simply like to thank you for everything your company has done for me. I truly appreciate the support and dependability of your most prized products. Though I begin to wonder if your leader has ulterior motives.

Sincerely: A Trojan Worker
